Burren Angling Guide

Activity & Adventure Flyfishing for trout and pike from a boat on freshwater lakes in the Burren.

In his 1928 memoir, F.D. Barker referred to the lakes of the river Fergus system as ‘an anglers paradise’. Barker took lodgings near Corofin and used a local ghillie to work the oars and land the catch.Today you can avail of an experienced guide to fly fish for pike and trout from a boat. All your tackle will be provided and your guide will advise on which pattern of fly to use.In addition, the novice angler can avail of instruction in casting technique.

Maximum of two persons can fish comfortably from the boat at a time.

Morning or evening trips are available and are of 4 hours duration. Exact start time can be agreed in advance.

Meet at the carpark at Lough Inchiquin, Corofin.

Price: €20 pp per hour or €35 for two people per hour
