Midsummer’s Eve Bonfire Festival

Blazing bonfires, food, wine, song, story, and more await you in the courtyard of Newtown Castle to celebrate St John’s Eve bonfire night. Following a welcome Midsummer punch, wander through the galleries and castle to view our Burren Annual exhibition, place a bid in our silent auction, and linger to hear musicians and performers of song and story. Wine and dine on the best local produce from Julia’s Lobster Truck, together with Burren Food Trail members including: Burren Food & Wine, BBQ featuring Neil Hawes Craft Butchers, and vegetarian options and desserts from the BCA Food of the Arts cafe.

As daylight fades and ceremonial bonfires are lit, David Donohue, Floriane Blancke, and Brian Fleming, along with guests, drum up a storm of music, dance and revelry … Come along for a great
night.
