Third Annual Seabirds Festival at the Cliffs of Moher

The third Annual Cliffs of Moher Seabirds festival

A family friendly series of activities and events celebrating the presence of our feathered friends. Over 60,000 seabirds can be seen at the Cliffs of Moher during the breeding season including Puffins, Guillemots, Razorbills, Kittiwakes and Fulmars nesting at different levels of the cliffs. There is nowhere else on the mainland of Ireland where you can so easily see such a host of nesting seabirds from accessible viewing points. The Cliffs of Moher are a special protected area (SPA) under Irish & EU legislation. The area is of special importance due to the presence of bird species such as chough, fulmar, kittiwake, guillemot, razorbill and puffin. Guided tours will be available and Birdwatch Ireland will be on site to share their expertise and to conduct viewings.
