Wild Food – Walk,Talk,Taste

Activity & Adventure Enjoy a leisurely wild food walk, plant identification talk, and picnic with local wild food tutor, Oonagh.

The day involves a 3 hour foraging trip in some of Co.Clare’s wild landscapes: seashore, hedgerow, woodland & farmland to forage for seasonal wild edible herbs, vegetables, seaweeds, roots, seeds & berries. You will learn how to forage safely and legally.

We will learn some plant identification tips, indicate poisonous lookalikes as they arise and I will give you lots of recipe ideas. Oonagh will share some tips for incorporating these ingredients into your cooking. After the foraging trip we will enjoy a wild food picnic,in the Arzon Park, Lahinch, watching the surfers overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

It may be warm, so a sunhat/cream are advisable, as is a rain coat(it is Ireland, after all!),good walking shoes, water, and a camera, and notebook.

Meet at the Market Square Ennistymon
