Part of the EDEN award winning Burren Food Trail and long time member of Burren Ecotourism Network, Clareville House Kitchen Garden is based at Ballyvaughan in the fertile Burren & Cliffs of Moher Geopark region of North Clare, West of Ireland on the Wild Atlantic Way. We grow fruit, vegetables and herbs in a kitchen garden and produce preserves. The kitchen garden is active from May to the end of September. All year round we use the natural Burren seashore and hillsides to forage for wild foods and seashore seaweed and edible plants, which we use. Part of this activity is to provide Guided Foraging Walks and Heritage Food Walks in the Burren.
Grower & Artisan Food Producer 
We grow soft fruits, vegetables and herbs, using organic methods, producing the ‘Burren Kitchen Garden’ range of sweet and savoury preserves. These include includes jams, jellies, chutney, relish, dressings and sauces. All local produce is carefully selected for our preserves to give you seasonal freshness and nutritional value. Catch us at Ballyvaughan Farmers Market every Saturday from May to October from 10 – 2pm. Taste the Burren Food Trail with lunch at the market. You can order online through our website or email. If you cannot make it you will find our preserves stocked at Sheridan’s Cheesemongers in Galway and Dublin. We received the Burren Master Chef and the Taste of the Fayre Award in 2013 for our produce. We hope you enjoy the taste!

We have provided cookery classes in preserve making and wild edible food recipes and have run several master classes for visitors. When we are asked to provide classes to incorporate baking, dairy, meat and fish we are happy to recommend you to our friends in the Burren Food Trail or can arrange a bespoke week or weekend for you.
