Moher Cottage is a family run, design-led destination store and coffee dock beside the Cliffs of Moher. They support local Irish businesses, selling beautiful Irish products, unique local Irish made crafts and gifts.
Moher Cottage is a dream that evolved from a view.
Kevin and Caitriona Considine’s family owned pub Considine’s Bar next to Moher Cottage has been in operation on the Considine family farm at St. Brigid’s Well beside the Cliffs of Moher since 1868. Historically it was both a country shop and pub. Now as a pub run by Kevin and Caitriona, the 4th generation of the Considine family, and together they are working to keep the pub growing but staying faithful to its heritage. To that end in 2016 they set about converting an old farm cottage beside their family home, used previously to milk their cows and feed our pigs but with amazing unrivalled views over Liscannor Bay. Kevin and Caitriona wanted to bring back the shop that once was to St. Brigid’s Well and share the view previously enjoyed by their cows and pigs. So Moher Cottage opened its doors in March 2017.
Moher Cottage were the Winner in May 2017 of “Ireland’s Best Coffee” and we believe there is nothing better than enjoying from their coffee dock the finest barista premium coffee, locally baked goods but also the Moher Cottage artisan Cliffs of Moher Fudge made on the premises by Caitriona.
Caitriona’s recommendation to all visitors to the Cliffs of Moher and Co.Clare is simply to take some time out on the Wild Atlantic Way, sit on the Moher Cottage Viewing Terrace and enjoy the panoramic spectacular views over Liscannor Bay.
The Moher Cottage mission is to become the “Best Little Shop” in Ireland and they welcome all those who join them on the journey.
